This privately owned luxury 4-Star bush lodge is on the secure and malaria-free Sondela Nature Reserve, a mere 90-minute drive from Johannesburg. The reserve has great cycling tracks and is perfect for children with many on-site activities to keep them busy. Bedrooms 1 & 2 Downstairs: En-suite bathrooms with baths, big showers, toilets and double basins. Both feature aircons, Queen size beds with mosquito nets and private patios.
Bedroom 3 and Loft Upstairs: Bedroom 3 has 2 Single beds and in the loft there are another 3 Single beds. There is a shared full bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet. Both upstairs areas have heaters and fans and both areas lead onto a huge wooden deck overlooking the waterhole, with loungers and a fan for your ultimate relaxation and comfort.
Living Area: Large open-plan lounge with leather couches, large flat-screen TV with DSTV. A centre breakfast island separates the open plan lounge and modern, well-equipped kitchen area and scullery. There is a large fridge/freezer, oven/hob, granite tops, ice machine, large microwave and tumble-dryer.
Outdoor Entertainment Area: The lounge leads out onto a spacious under-cover patio with an 8-seater teak table and chairs, fan, indoor braai facility and a bar fridge.
There are no close-by neighbours, allowing you complete privacy and the full bush experience listening to owls and jackals, while enjoying the firepit and outdoor braai in this open, unfenced area.
There is a double carport under thatch and plenty of additional parking space. The lodge is ideally located 100m away from a swimming pool which is for the exclusive use of Makhato owners/guests. The lodge is serviced and provides bed linen and bath towels.
