This newly built bush lodge will exceed your expectations in every way and is ideal for a getaway with your loved ones. This is a 6 sleeper house with 2 en-suite bedrooms and another bedroom in the main house, with 2 single beds and a separate bathroom. The two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized double bed, en-suite bathroom and outside shower, are separate from the main house (detached from the main house), ensuring privacy. This makes this lodge ideal for 2 or 3 couples to share.
The main house has an open plan lounge, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious stoep, as well as a patio with built-in braai where you can enjoy a sunset cocktail. The lounge has a fireplace for cosy winter evenings.
You can make a fire in the outside boma (with an outside braai) and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the bushveld. For rainy days, the built-in braai under the thatch roof between the main house and the one separate bedroom/unit can be utilised.
All bedrooms, as well as the main living area are equipped with ceiling fans.
A Makhato common entertainment area, with swimming pool and braai facility is about 100 meters from the lodge and makes for great fun for young and old. This is reserved exclusively for use by the Makhato residents and their guests.
The lodge has a large, unobstructed view of the bush, as it is situated on the perimeter of the Makhato area, which means that a wide variety of game (such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, nyala, impala and warthog amongst others) can be observed from the boma and spacious stoep. Nyala often visit and will accept treats from the hand. Bird-lovers can enjoy watching a large variety of birds from the boma or stoep as well.
